"I walked the path of fire so that the women in my life could know they have a place to rest. Their weary heads. Their aching feet. Their hands hung low."

There will always be a piece of me
That wishes I birthed my babies differently.
That it all didn’t happen the way it did
And that the first hours of their lives happened, well, differently.
However, wisdom is honoring these pieces of me—
What each piece has taught me.
How each piece has grown me.
I honor these pieces of me,
Acknowledge them— I let them be.
For in me, they can find peace.
